What's the difference between RGB and HSL?
RGB defines a color by red/green/blue channel intensities (0-255 each). HSL uses hue/saturation/lightness — often more intuitive for manually lightening, darkening, or desaturating a color.
color: #4f46e5;color: rgb(79 70 229 / 1);color: hsl(243 75% 59% / 1);color: lch(40.7% 93.9 302.6);Convert colors between HEX, RGB, HSL, HSV, and CMYK — with alpha channel support.
Values update as you type, so the picker, the alpha slider, and the text field always agree. CMYK is the naive device-independent conversion and is meant for reference, not for print colour matching.

Input accepts HEX (3/4/6/8-digit), RGB/RGBA and HSL/HSLA — both legacy comma and modern space/slash notation parse — plus all 148 CSS named colors, so red, tomato and rebeccapurple work as typed. Output adds HSV, CMYK, LAB and LCH. The name comes back too: paste #FF0000 and the result reports it as red, but only on an exact match, never a nearest one.
Yes — HEXA, RGBA, and HSLA all carry alpha, and there's a dedicated alpha slider in the input panel.
Standard HEX uses 2 digits each for red, green, and blue (000000-FFFFFF). A 3-digit shorthand (#FFF) is also valid CSS — each digit is doubled.
No — conversion runs entirely client-side.
